About the stone

The Pink Keshi Pearl is a cultured pearl formed as a byproduct of the cultivation process, without a nucleus. This unique trait gives it freeform, slightly irregular shapes, and a deep, intense luster. Its delicate pink hue adds a romantic, feminine touch.

Because it forms without a nucleus, the Keshi pearl is almost entirely nacre — that's where its unusually intense luster comes from.

At Indira, we work exclusively with genuine cultured pearls, hand-selected and set in 925 silver and 14K gold. No imitations—ever.

Like all pearls, it is an organic material sensitive to chemicals, perspiration, and abrasion. It symbolizes elegance, purity, and femininity, making it a refined choice for jewelry. Special care is recommended to preserve its delicate luster over time.

Attention level
Cleaning
  • Gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
  • No ultrasonic or steam cleaning (risk of damage is very high).
  • Avoid detergents or soap, especially for organic materials (pearls, coral).

Exposure precautions
  • Sensitive to chemicals, humidity, and high temperatures.
  • Remove jewelry before washing hands, applying lotions, or perfume.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and sudden temperature changes.
Storage
  • Store each piece individually in soft cloths or pouches, as even minimal friction can scratch or wear down the surface.
  • For pearls and opal, maintain a balanced humidity level; if too dry, there is a risk of cracking.
  • Do not leave them in contact with other jewelry to prevent knocks and scratches.
