FAQ
What is a birthstone pendant and how do I choose it?
A birthstone pendant features your birth month stone — a small talisman worn close to your heart. You choose the month, and the gem follows: garnet for January, amethyst for February, aquamarine or topaz for March, moonstone for June, ruby for July, sapphire for September, citrine for November, and so on. It’s a personal gift, made with someone special in mind.
What materials are Indira Birthstone pendants made of?
You’ll find them in three options. The solid 14K gold styles (58.5% gold) are the most precious, crafted to be passed down through generations. The 925 Sterling Silver pieces (92.5% silver) are classic and accessible, while the Golden variants are 925 Sterling Silver plated with a layer of gold of about 2 microns, for those who want the warm hue of gold at a friendlier price. Indira does not use titanium or nickel.
Does the pendant come with a chain or do I choose it separately?
The pendant is the centerpiece, and you choose the chain to suit your style. A shorter chain sets the stone high, near the base of the neck; a longer one drops it lower for a relaxed vibe. Discover the options in the chains collection and match the length to the neckline you wear most often.
Can I wear multiple pendants together?
Yes, and layering is actually one of the most beautiful ways to wear them. You can pair your stone with that of a loved one, or add a second chain at a different length for a layered effect. The collection’s delicate stones subtly complement each other without overwhelming your look.
How do I care for more delicate stones like opal or moonstone?
Softer, more porous stones — opal, moonstone, citrine — need a bit of care. Keep them away from perfume, lotion, and water; put them on last when you get dressed and take them off first. The slightly milky look of moonstone isn’t a flaw, it’s its natural adularescence, the play of light that makes it unique. Wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth.
Is it a good gift and does it come nicely packaged?
It’s one of the most personal gifts — you’re telling someone you know their month, their story, their nature. Every order includes a warranty certificate, and gold pieces come in a velvet box. You also have 30-day returns available in case you want to exchange something.
