FAQ
What is a pendant and which chain should I wear it with?
A pendant is a small charm, with a symbol or stone, designed to hang from a chain. At Indira you’ll find pendants in 925 silver and 14K gold, and you choose the chain separately to suit your style: fine for a delicate look or sturdier for statement pieces.
What materials are Indira pendants made of?
Most are crafted from 925 Sterling silver (92.5% pure silver) or 14K gold-plated silver, and the most precious from solid 14K gold. The stones are natural: moonstone, amethyst, lapis lazuli, labradorite, turquoise, or cultured pearls.
What is the meaning behind symbolic pendants?
Every symbol carries a story. The heart speaks of love, the tree of life of roots and growth, and the moon of femininity and intuition. You choose a pendant not just for how it looks, but for what it means to you or to the person you’re gifting it to.
Will the pendant’s gold plating wear off over time?
The approx. 2-micron layer of 14K gold is durable, but any plating will gradually wear with friction and contact with perfume or sweat. To keep the shine longer, remove the pendant before showering or working out, and wipe it with a soft cloth.
The moonstone on the pendant looks cloudy — is that a flaw?
No. The milky appearance and the light that seems to float inside are called adularescence and are the hallmark of a genuine natural stone. Every moonstone is unique, and this play of light is exactly what makes it special.
Can I wear the pendant every day?
Yes, designs in 925 silver and 14K gold are made for everyday wear. Still, take it off for showering, swimming, and when applying creams or perfume, and store it separately in a dry place when you’re not wearing it. Every order includes a warranty certificate.
