FAQ
What types of earrings will I find in the Indira collection?
The collection includes multiple styles so you can easily find your perfect match: stud earrings (small, sit flat on the lobe), hoop earrings (hoops) in various diameters, long earrings for an elegant accent, cuff earrings that are worn without a piercing, and designs with screw-back closures, safer for everyday wear. The closure type is listed in each product description.
Moonstone earrings look slightly cloudy, milky — is that normal?
Yes, that’s a natural property of the stone. Moonstone has a semi‑translucent, “milky” appearance with an inner play of bluish‑silver light called adularescence. This soft, diffused glow is exactly what makes it special — it’s not a sign of imitation or a defect. Moonstone is one of our beloved stones, featured in bestselling designs like Valery and Keira.
Are the stones in the earrings natural? What certificate will I receive?
All stones used are natural, except those explicitly described as lab‑created. Material authenticity is ensured through batch‑level certification, directly from the supplier — a choice that lets us keep prices affordable without compromising authenticity. In addition, every order includes a warranty certificate. Natural stones may have small imperfections or slight color variations — a hallmark that they’re real.
How do I care for gold‑plated silver earrings?
Plated pieces have a fine layer of gold (approximately 2 microns) applied over 925 silver. To keep them looking beautiful, keep them away from perfume, lotion, water, and repeated friction, and put them on last as you get ready. Wear of the plating over time is a natural process. If you prefer jewelry with no special upkeep, we recommend styles in 925 silver or solid 14K gold.
I have sensitive ears — which earrings are right for me?
We recommend earrings in 925 Sterling Silver (92.5% pure silver), hypoallergenic for most people, or in 14K gold. If your lobe isn’t pierced or you want to avoid a piercing altogether, cuff earrings are a comfortable choice — they fasten to the edge of the ear. Indira does not carry titanium jewelry.
How do I choose the size for hoop earrings?
The hoop diameter is listed in millimeters in the product description — for example, 50 mm or 60 mm for larger styles, or more discreet options for everyday wear. As a guide, small hoops sit close to the lobe and stay subtle, while larger ones create a visible accent. Choose according to how pronounced you want the effect to be.
